We are pleased to offer a special opportunity for female kendoka, regardless of grade or experience level. Sensei Takenaka is currently a doctoral student in Physical Education (Kendo Coaching) at the University of Tsukuba. The aim of the seminar is to support the technical development of female kendoka and to share international experience in a direct, inspiring professional environment.

The Finnish Kendo Federation invites all practitioners from 3rd kyu and above to the Kendo Spring Seminar, to be held in Helsinki on 13–15 February 2026. The seminar is organised in cooperation with the Swedish Kendo Federation. Three instructors: Yagisawa Makoto (8-dan Kyoshi), Furusawa Nobuaki (7-dan Kyoshi) and Shinzato Chikano (7-dan Kyoshi) from Nippon Sport Science University will travel from Japan to teach at the seminar. Shinzato sensei was the Women's Team Coach that won the All Japan Women's University Kendo Tournament last year.

We are pleased to announce that the inaugural Asia Oceania Kendo Championships (1AOKC) will be held at the Tokyo Budokan in May 2026. With the agreement of countries and regions in the Asia Zone, including Japan and Korea, it has been decided to organize the Asia Oceania Kendo Championships, and Tokyo has been selected as the host city for the commemorative first championships.
